Booster Stage - Elementary School or before
WREN College Planning Resources Planning Stages
Secondary Stage - Middle School
The Booster stage is for families with children in elementary school.  This is the perfect time to start a savings program for college.  529 Accounts, Coverdale ESA's, permanent Life Insurance and Savings Bonds are some of the ways you can systematically save towards college.  Each provides compound growth and each has its advantages and disadvantages. Our workshop offers attendees the knowledge and tools to make the best choice for their family.
At WREN College Planning Resources, we have broken down the college planning cycle into three stages - Booster, Secondary and Payload Stages.  Just like a rocket, each stage helps to put the payload into a successful orbit - in your children's case, a successful career.  And just like the stages in a rocket, each has its own challenges and solutions.

We are available to conduct a free workshop for schools, churches, businesses, athletic and extra curriculum organizations on the three Planning Stages.  In addition, we offer a free one-hour individual consultation for each family that attends.  Call or e-mail us for more information on our workshops and how you can schedule one for your organization.
Middle School families fall into the Secondary stage.  If they haven't started saving already, we show them the advantages and disadvantages of 529 Accounts, Coverdale ESA's, permanent Life Insurance and Savings Bonds.  We introduce them to the process of how aid is calculated and help them understand how their income and assets affect the amount of aid available.  This is a great time to start developing a plan for college.
Athletic Workshop
A short workshop for those who have the potential to receive an athletic scholarship.  Learn the rules and regulations associated with the recruiting process as well as the deadlines.  The workshop includes information on Late Stage Planning issues, such as the cost of attendance, financial aid process, types of aid, % aid met and many more ideas and processes a family needs to understand to make the right choices.
Payload Stage - High School or early College
Families with children in High School or even College, fall into this category.  Known as the Late Stage, it's time to hunker down and start a plan NOW if there isn't one already.  Our workshop for Late Stage Planning focuses on the cost of attendance, financial aid process, types of aid, % aid met and many more ideas and processes a family needs to understand to make the right choices.  It's probably too late to start a savings program, but it may not be too late to move assets or income to increase the amount of aid available.

... so the Payload Stage leads to the Pay Day Stage!
